About CityLens

The CityLens platform is designed for collaboration and engagement and allows all stakeholders to explore urban smart cities in an incredibly novel and beneficial way.

The use of holographic technology allows stakeholders to see first-hand what the future holds for a city. Developers have the ability to see all that the city has to offer, decision makers can plan better, and residents can share their thoughts on the future.

The CityLens platform has been developed to enable the uploading and viewing of unlimited three-dimensional city models across the public sector.  It will also allow data such as pedestrian and vehicle traffic, air quality, water usage and other sensor-derived information to be viewed. The end result is a truly revolutionary tool in local government.

Who can register?Who can register?

Any local government in Australia can register to use CityLens.  Each council can have a single account where they will be able to upload and manage the models and data to be used in CityLens.

What is involved?What is involved?

To use CityLens a council will need to have a 3D model of your city, 3D models of your development projects and, if required, various Smart City datasets that can be overlaid over the city model.  Once you have registered and signed in, details of what models/data are required and in what format will be provided in the login area.

How to register?

How to register?

Complete the form below with details for your council.  It is recommended that, if possible, the email address used is a generic email (e.g. planning@abccity.vic.gov.au) so it is not tied to an individual’s email account.  The email address must be a .gov.au address.

If your council is not in the list, you may already be registered with CityLens or we may need to add you to the list.  So please contact us at citylens@wyndham.vic.gov.au so we can assist.

Each council can only have 1 CityLens account.

Once you have completed the registration form you will receive a confirmation email that will include a link to activate your account.

Once your account is activated, you will be able to login to the site to provide details of your 3D city model and the datasets to be used in CityLens.  Details of what models/data are required and in what format is provided in the login area.
